Hopeful: Equal marriage supporters have asked the California Supreme Court to reject the anti-equality measure off the state ballot, stating that the measure is a constitutional revision requiring more extensive procedures for passage. [Fog City Journal]

Flaming: Most of northern California is on fire, here are some handy ways to figure out where the smoke is coming from. [SF Metblogs]

Typical: It’s no secret that many of the editors at Boing Boing are sizeist pricks, so should it come as any surprise that they’re also disingenuous and more than a wee bit hypocritical? [The Snitch]

Foodiemongering: Is Out the Door trying to get out of its Westfield food court lease? [Eater SF]

WHAT?: Seriously, no, Baltimore’s Pride is not the sexiest. I love ya, Fausto and Mark, but you’re just wrong, wrong, wrong! [Feast of Fools]

Who’s who here: Three proud celebrities caught on film during Sunday’s big to-do. [SFBG]

Techphobia: Meanwhile, the Silicon Valley sect chose to stay far, far away from doing anything that might make it look like they were sponsoring or endorsing Pride. Except for Yahoo and Google. [Valleywag]

Screw ‘em: With BART setting all-time ridership records on Sunday, what’s a few less self-indulgent tech types? [BART]

The SF Gate story, with a quote to remind people who take their home for granted of what an amazing place we live in: “It’s so incredible to see this many gay people,” Byrd said. “We’re the buckle of the Bible Belt. If we held hands in public, we’d be beat up.” [SF Gate]

Good morning! Feeling a bit more pretty, witty and gay after Pride Weekend? Good! You can keep that light and refreshed feeling going by skipping (okay, walking) on down to North Beach for a bowl of frozen yogurt at Swirl Culture. This little yogurt shop was a long time in coming, with local neighborhood groups becoming almost incoherent with rage (or just plain incoherent) in trying to prevent this place from opening; the struggle was almost as epic as the Hole In The Wall’s relocation saga.

Delicious guilt-free flavors include peach passion, mango delight and strawberry delight. If yogurt’s not your thing, there’s also sustainable fruit and iced coffee to keep you refreshed and alert.

Swirl Culture is at 1400 Grant (@Green). 415-397-9475, swirlculture.com
